My name is Alexandra, and it is lovely to meet you! My passion is planning – so passionate that I want to share all of my ideas & tools with all of you. The intent of this site is to share travel adventures, planning tools, and at-home experiences to spark inspiration for you to create your own itineraries and to be a hostess in your home!
My Story
Positively Planned is a site by a planner for planners. The process of planning is almost as much fun for me as whatever it is I am planning for — whether it is a two-week vacation, weekend getaway, or a nice meal at home, I am always ready with a plan to make the perfect experience.
I realized this interest in middle school when my favorite part of the school year was picking out a fresh planner with the perfect pens to plan my day down to the minute. This fascination expanded into travel planning during high school when my family would go on trips and I found that the vacation was even more exciting when Pinterest deep-dives revealed the must-sees in that location. Thus, my passion for creating in-depth travel itineraries was born.
Over the last 10 years, I have likely made over 20 travel itineraries — whether it be a weekend adventure or two-week escapade — which means I am perfectly positioned to share my templates and tips with all of you!
But, of course, it isn’t always possible to take a trip. Therefore, when funds are tight or time is crunched, I have found a similar passion for creating fun experiences at home. Transforming a Saturday into a themed movie night complete with food and ambiance can make even the most low-key weekend exciting. This can be achieved by planning in advance!
